Avatar: Seven Havens Officially Recasts Korra’s Voice

One of the most important characters in Avatar: Seven Havens is Korra, even if she's long dead by the time the show starts. The post-apocalyptic world of Seven Havens is directly caused by Korra's actions; at least that is what the show has indicated so far, resulting in widespread hatred toward the Avatar. This is causing a lot of problems for Nisha and Pavi, our new Avatar twins. The most recent batch of episodes brought us even closer to Korra once again and also revealed who provides her voice in Seven Havens.

During a flashback to the moment Korra destroyed Republic City and plunged the world into chaos, an event known as the cataclysm, the former Avatar lets out some angry screams and grunts. As someone had to voice those sounds, there is a credit for Korra in episode 7, "What Lies Beneath." This revealed that Cia Court is the new voice of Korra.

Court is best known for roles such as Vi in League of Legends and Himeko in Honkai: Star Rail. She takes over the role from Janet Varney, who was the original voice of Korra. Jacqueline Grace Lopez also voiced the character earlier this year in Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game.

Is Korra really evil in Avatar: Seven Havens?

While we haven't heard Court provide spoken dialogue yet, it does seem like we will hear more of her as the show goes on. Uncovering what really happened during the cataclysm and why Korra seems to have gone mad is a central part of the show. With a journey to Republic Forest, the lost haven that seems to stand where Republic City once existed, Seven Havens gets closer to these revelations.we haven't heard Court provide spoken dialogue yet and connect with their past lives, but a meeting between the two and Korra makes sense.

Seven Havens' story consistently subverts expectations, and it really appears that there is no big bad villain in the show. Each episode portrays every person and group in the world as complex and just trying to survive the best they can. That, of course, means a lot of people make mistakes. Korra may be one of those people, but as we still don't know the full truth of why the cataclysm was started, it feels premature to say she's truly as evil as the world portrays her to be. The show's creators have even teased that fans should wait to watch the whole show. With the last four episodes of the series set to be released on Oct. 20, we won't have to wait long to get the full picture.
