Realme appears to be preparing a major upgrade to its popular Pro series, with a new leak suggesting that the upcoming Realme 17 Pro lineup could feature a massive 10,000mAh battery, a 200MP camera, and a high-refresh-rate OLED display. If these specifications turn out to be accurate, the device could offer one of the largest batteries in its segment.
The details were shared by tipster Debayan Roy, known as Gadgetsdata, on X. However, the exact model remains unclear, as the leaked specifications could belong to either the Realme 17 Pro or the more expensive Realme 17 Pro+.
The company has not officially confirmed the devices or their specifications, but the latest information provides an early indication of what buyers can expect from Realme’s next generation of mid-range smartphones.
The Realme 16 Pro series debuted internationally in January 2026 before reaching Pakistan in April. With the successor now appearing in leaks, attention is gradually shifting toward its potential launch and pricing in the local market.
Realme 17 Pro Series Could Bring Major Battery and Camera Upgrades
The biggest highlight of the leak is the expected 10,000mAh battery, representing a substantial increase over the 7,000mAh capacity of the Realme 16 Pro+.
That would be an approximately 43% increase in battery capacity. For users who spend long hours gaming, watching videos, or using mobile data, the additional capacity could offer a noticeable improvement in endurance.
However, actual battery life will depend on software optimization, display settings, and processor efficiency. Charging speed has not been revealed, so it remains unclear how long such a large battery would take to recharge.
The upcoming device is also tipped to feature a flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a standard refresh rate of 120Hz. According to the leak, the refresh rate could increase to 165Hz in selected games, although this does not mean the display will operate at 165Hz across all applications.
For performance, Realme is reportedly considering MediaTek’s Dimensity 7500 chipset. The processor would position the device in the mid-range category, although its real-world gaming and multitasking performance will need to be assessed after launch.
The camera setup looks particularly promising, with a 200MP primary sensor reportedly accompanied by a 50MP telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom and an additional ultrawide camera.
Interestingly, the Realme 16 Pro+ already offers a 200MP main camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. Therefore, the resolution figures alone would not represent a major upgrade over its predecessor. Any meaningful improvement in photography would likely depend on sensor quality, image processing, and software optimisation.
The leak also suggests a plastic frame and a rear camera module resembling the Realme 16 Pro+. While a plastic frame could help control manufacturing costs, it would be a change from the aluminium construction of the previous Pro+ model if these specifications belong to its direct successor.
Expected Price and Release Timeline in Pakistan
Realme has not announced a launch date or official pricing for the 17 Pro series. However, the company’s previous release pattern provides a useful reference for the Pakistani market.
The Realme 16 Pro series launched internationally in January 2026 and officially arrived in Pakistan in April. At launch, the Realme 16 Pro was priced at Rs. 169,999, while the Realme 16 Pro+ carried a price tag of Rs. 199,999, both in 12GB RAM and 512GB storage configurations.
If Realme follows a similar schedule, the 17 Pro series could make its international debut in early 2027, with a possible Pakistan launch during the first half of the year, potentially around March or April.
However, this is only an estimate based on the previous generation’s launch pattern. No official announcement, confirmed Pakistan release date, or local regulatory approval has been reported for the upcoming devices.
As for pricing, the Realme 17 Pro could potentially arrive in Pakistan at approximately Rs. 175,000 to Rs. 190,000, while the Realme 17 Pro+ may fall between Rs. 205,000 and Rs. 225,000, assuming comparable storage configurations and no major changes in local pricing conditions.
These figures are editorial estimates based on the Realme 16 Pro series’ Pakistani launch prices. They are not leaked prices or figures confirmed by Realme.
For Pakistani consumers, the proposed 10,000mAh battery could be the biggest attraction, particularly for users looking for longer battery life without compromising on camera features.
However, pricing will be crucial. The Realme 16 Pro+ already entered Pakistan at nearly Rs. 200,000, placing it in a competitive segment where consumers have several premium mid-range alternatives.
If Realme manages to introduce the new series without a significant price increase, the larger battery and upgraded display could strengthen its appeal. On the other hand, a higher price could make buyers more demanding about processing power, camera improvements, and overall build quality.
