Monday night football’s big stage at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia turned into a showcase game for Dak Prescott and his receivers as CeeDee Lamb smoked Cooper DeJean for a big early score. A blunt warning from Jerry Jones leading into the game tickled Cowboys fans as Prescott continued to lead his team up and down the field.
George Pickens was the beneficiary of a key touchdown in the second quarter as Prescott beat the odds, delivering a pass on a rope that gave Dallas a 17-14 lead.

The Cowboys faced a few injury questions as two players were ruled out before the game. The injuries didn’t deter the Prescott-led offense as they tacked on a late Brandon Aubrey field goal to make the score 20-14 before halftime.
Prescott had 174 yards passing and two touchdowns at the break, with four receivers catching two or more passes and both Lamb and Pickens finishing with over 50 yards on the night. Javonte Williams opened up the Eagles’ defense on the ground with 10 carries for 67 yards, while Tyler Goodson chipped in 26 yards.
On defense, rookie Caleb Downs led Dallas with five tackles as the Cowboys kept Eagles QB Tanner McKee under wraps, as he had less than 70 yards at halftime.
The Cowboys’ first-half performance came amid trade rumors involving Josh Sweat of the Cardinals, who some thought could be a much-needed addition to Dallas’ Christian Parker-led unit. Saquon Barkley’s 50-yard, one-touchdown first half was a sign of potential danger, but fans felt confident in Prescott and the Cowboys as the second half drew near.
