Skies will be mostly clear across South Korea on Tuesday, the 27th, but strong winds are expected. Temperatures are forecast to fall from the night as cold air moves down from the northwest.
The Korea Meteorological Administration said skies will be mostly clear nationwide, though some areas will see occasional cloud cover before dawn. Scattered rainfall of less than 0.1 millimeters is possible before dawn in the southeastern inland areas of South Chungcheong Province, the central and southern parts of North Chungcheong Province, the Jeolla region and the northwestern inland areas of North Gyeongsang Province.
Light rain is also expected in the mountainous areas of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province from before dawn through the morning.
Morning lows will range from 5 to 15 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs of 15 to 20 degrees. Temperatures will turn chilly from the night as cold air flows in from the northwest.
Strong winds are expected nationwide, requiring caution in managing facilities and guarding against safety accidents. High waves also call for care along coastal areas.
Waves will reach 0.5 to 3.5 meters in coastal waters of the East Sea, 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea. In outer waters within about 200 kilometers of the coastline, waves are forecast at 1.0 to 5.0 meters in the East Sea and 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the West and South seas.
