It’s spooky season and Notre Dame goes on the road this week. The Irish will play a football game just an hour south of Salem, but it ain’t witches on their minds, it’s the United States Naval Academy.
Since Notre Dame and the Navy Midshipmen keep scheduling this game, we can keep calling this game an atrocity on the Irish schedule if for no other reason than every Navy “home” game is some bland neutral site, rather than in Annapolis. This year it’s in Foxborough, home of the New England Patriots.
When you think of New England and Halloween, there are a lot of different things that may come to mind, but nice weather isn’t usually near the top of the list, but that’s exactly what we get this year according to the Accuweather forecast.
It’s football weather y’all.

We’re getting a 59 degree day with no rain, and just enough sun to make the real gold helmets shine.
Happy Halloween!
