KUALA LUMPUR: RHB Asset Management Sdn Bhd (RHBAM), a subsidiary of RHB Banking Group, has launched the RHB Focus Income Bond Fund – Series 13 (RHB FIBF13), a three-year closed-ended fund investing in global debt instruments, including Australian dollar-denominated fixed-income assets.
The fund aims to provide income and portfolio diversification through investments in global debt instruments amid geopolitical uncertainty and changing market conditions.
RHBAM managing director and chief executive officer Ng Chze How said the Australian bond market was one of the more established fixed-income markets outside the United States, offering exposure to government, financial and corporate issuers.
He said the market's depth and diversity provided opportunities for investors seeking to broaden their fixed-income exposure.
"Through RHB FIBF13, investors can gain access to a professionally managed portfolio of global debt securities through a single investment solution.
"Subject to the availability of distributable income and market conditions, the fund aims to declare quarterly distributions at approximately 5.25 per cent to 5.75 per cent per annum over its three-year tenure," he said in a statement.
The fund will invest predominantly in global debt instruments, including bonds, commercial papers, bankers' acceptances and credit-linked notes. It may also hold money market instruments and deposits for liquidity management.
RHB FIBF13 is targeted at investors seeking exposure to global high-grade fixed-income investments who are comfortable with a three-year investment horizon.
The fund will be distributed through RHB's nationwide network of wealth and investment advisers.
