(ANSA) - BUENOS AIRES, 26 OTT - As part of the 26th World Italian Language Week, the diplomatic and consular network continues its efforts to promote the Italian language in Argentina.
Among the various activities—according to a press release—the Italian Embassy in Buenos Aires supports the “Ponti di Carta” initiative, which aims to collect elementary school textbooks still in good condition but no longer in use in Italy, to distribute them to students at Italian schools in Argentina.
A pilot phase benefited the Dante Alighieri Institute in Bariloche—as highlighted by Ambassador Nicoletti during a visit last August.
The project—carried out in collaboration with the Italian consular network in Argentina—is now expanding and will soon include other Italian schools in the districts of La Plata and Bahía Blanca.
