By Zoila Palma: Galen University successfully concluded its Training of Trainers Program on Friday, October 23, 2026, following a collaborative initiative with the Belize Defence Force (BDF) and the Belize Coast Guard (BCG).
The program brought together 36 participants to strengthen their instructional skills and professional capabilities.
Participants received training in adult learning principles, competency-based teaching and learning, online teaching methods, and practical microteaching exercises.
The program was designed to equip them with the knowledge and techniques needed to deliver effective training within their respective organizations.
Through guided activities, hands-on practice, and peer feedback, participants had opportunities to develop and refine their teaching skills, with an emphasis on competency-based instruction.
Galen University said the initiative reflects its commitment to professional development, stronger partnerships with Belize’s national security agencies, and innovative teaching approaches.
Galen congratulated all participants on completing the program and commended the BDF and BCG for their continued efforts in capacity building.
