Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has criticised Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde over his recent stage-jumping stunt, accusing him of disrespecting President Bola Tinubu.
Igboho made his position known in a video that circulated on Sunday, describing Makinde’s action as childish and taking issue with what he considered mockery of the President.
The activist accused the governor of using the stunt to ridicule Tinubu’s physical ability, insisting that such conduct was disrespectful to an elderly person.
“He was jumping around like a frog and a mad man, insulting Tinubu, saying Tinubu can’t jump like him as if he doesn’t have a father,” Igboho said.
He further warned that he would respond to anyone who insulted the President.
“If you insult Tinubu, I will insult you back,” the activist declared.
Igboho also cautioned against mocking elderly people, arguing that such behaviour was inappropriate. He described Makinde’s conduct as a disgrace.

The controversy followed an event held on Thursday at a South-West town hall meeting in Akure, the Ondo State capital, where Makinde jumped from the stage to demonstrate his physical stamina.
Makinde, who is seeking the presidency in 2027 under the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), argued that the next election should focus on candidates’ energy and capacity rather than their age.
He also challenged other presidential contenders to demonstrate similar physical ability, saying voters should support them if they could do so.
“If they can do that, vote for them,” the governor said.
