The shine is off the November showdown between Oregon and No. 2 Ohio State, but at least fans won't have to wait around all day for the game to kick off.
The Ducks (4-3, 2-2 Big Ten) and Buckeyes (6-1, 4-0) will play at 12:30 p.m. PT on Nov. 7 inside 102,780-seat Ohio Stadium in Columbus, it was announced Monday. The game will be televised by CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
The game was once the most anticipated on Oregon's regular season schedule, a potential showdown for Big Ten supremacy and a spot in the conference championship game.
But the Ducks are reeling after losing 21-10 to Illinois last Saturday, leading to the firing of offensive coordinator Drew Mehringer Sunday morning.
Oregon will first play No. 18 Northwestern at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Autzen Stadium, an afternoon game on Halloween against a Wildcats' team thriving on offense thanks to first-year offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, the Ducks' former head coach.
Ohio State will be in Los Angeles to play USC Saturday.
