Comcast announced its annual Community Champion of the Year award Tuesday. The award recognizes the efforts of those in the NASCAR industry whose service in the community demonstrate an exceptional commitment to giving back.
For the first time since the program began in 2015, Comcast has bestowed the honor on two recipients naming NASCAR drivers Kyle Busch and Greg Biffle as the 2026 Comcast Community Champions of the Year.
The recognition highlights two distinct approaches to giving back, from helping families struggling with infertility to providing hands-on assistance to communities devastated by natural disasters. And it illustrates how those who work in NASCAR can have an impact far beyond chasing trophies on the track.
Busch is being recognized for The Bundle of Joy Fund: Founded by Kyle and his wife, Samantha, following their deeply personal experience with infertility, the fund has awarded more than $2.5 million in fertility grants to nearly 200 families, helping welcome 114 babies while raising awareness and supporting families navigating infertility.
And for Biffle, the Biffle Family Legacy Impact Fund: Greg’s legacy of service includes his heroic efforts following Hurricane Helene, when he spent 14 consecutive days using his personal helicopter to assist rescue efforts and reach stranded residents. That dedication continues through the Biffle Family Legacy Impact Fund, established to honor the values and philanthropic spirit of Greg and Cristina Biffle. The Fund works in partnership with Foundation For The Carolinas to support communities and causes in need.
Since it began Comcast has donated more than $1 million to nonprofit organizations with $60,000 going to the winner. This year, Comcast will award a total of $120,000, with $60,000 benefiting each honoree’s respective charitable organization.
“Kyle and Greg represented what this award stands for, using their platforms to make a difference well beyond the sport,” said Matt Lederer, Vice President of Brand Partnerships & Engagement, Comcast. “Through their compassion, generosity and commitment to helping others, they made a lasting impact on countless lives. We are proud to name Kyle and Greg co-champions and celebrate two extraordinary legacies that will continue to inspire others.”

Remembering Greg Biffle And The Quiet Impact He Made Beyond NASCAR
This year’s award brings that effort into focus through two very different examples of community service. One began with a family’s experience navigating infertility and grew into a source of assistance for others hoping to become parents. The other was demonstrated through an immediate response to communities in need and continues through a fund established in the Biffles’ name.
For NASCAR, the recognition is a reminder to the world that the influence of its drivers can extend well beyond the sport itself, and long after those drivers are gone. The charitable efforts of Kyle Busch and Greg Biffle reach families and communities whose lives have little to do with racing, but whose futures can be changed by the people willing to help. It’s a legacy of service that will continue to have an impact for many years to come.
Comcast is one of NASCAR’s Premier partners and is currently in its twelfth year in the sport.
