Cleveland Browns WR up for a league honor after big game in Week 7

Cleveland Browns wide receiver KC Concepcion had the type of day on Sunday that he and the Browns have been waiting for since he was selected in the first round of the 2027 NFL Draft.

Concepcion finished the game against the Tennessee Titans with eight receptions for 129 yards and 23 rushing yards, including an 18-yard scamper in the fourth quarter that helped set up a touchdown.

The 129 receiving yards are the eighth-most by a rookie in a single game in franchise history, placing Concepcion in the company of notable players like Paul Warfield, Kevin Johnson, and Webster Slaughter.

While pleased with his stats in Cleveland’s latest comeback victory, after the game Concepcion said he believes this should be the norm rather than the exception:

“I enter every week expecting to have a game like this. This week was my breakout game. I just can’t wait to keep stacking weeks. I’ve been this way all my life. I play this game with so much heart, so much effort. I’m finally glad that Browns fans and the Browns community were finally able to see what I can bring to this team.”

The Titans were not the only ones who took notice of Concepcion’s big day, but the NFL did as well as Concepcion has been nominated for Rookie of the Week honors for Week 7.

Concepcion leads the Browns in receptions (30), is second in receiving yards (315) to fellow rookie Denzel Boston, and is one of eight Cleveland players averaging more than 10 yards per reception.

The other players nominated for the award are:

• New York Jets wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr., who had five receptions for 115 yards and one touchdown
• Miami Dolphins wide receiver Caleb Douglas, who had two receptions for 70 yards and two touchdowns
• Atlanta Falcons linebacker Kendal Daniels, who has 11 tackles, one interception, and one fumble recovery
