Marbella residents will be able to speak with police, emergency services and local charities at a free summit on November 3, with this year’s programme focused on where to find help when something goes wrong.
The United Nationalities of Marbella Summit 2026 will be held at Hard Rock Hotel Marbella. Its theme is Emergency and Safety in our City, with talks and information tables aimed at Spanish and international residents.
The event follows an earlier EWN report on the summit and its local support services. Organisers say the open morning is free to attend, and visitors do not need to register. Doors open at 10am, with talks expected to begin between 11am and 11.15am.
Police and emergency services among speakers
The programme is set to include representatives from Marbella Local Police, the National Police, the Fire Service, Civil Protection and the Guardia Civil.
The confirmed speakers include Local Police Intendente Amador, National Police representatives Moisés Narváez Villen and Álvaro Merino Gálvez, Marbella fire service head Medardo Tudela Goñi, and Civil Protection group head Francisco Javier Flores Lima. Guardia Civil representative Antonio Duarte Berrocal is scheduled to speak at noon.
Contributions from the Town Hall, Social Services, the Foreign Residents Department and the British Consulate are also planned. The final running order is being confirmed.
Charities to share support available locally
Residents will be able to visit information tables and ask participating organisations about their services. Confirmed groups include Age Concern Marbella and San Pedro, Soroptimist International Costa del Sol, Collective Calling, Triple A Marbella, Care Fairies and AVOI Málaga.
The summit is also marking 20 years of Soroptimist International Costa del Sol. The organisation’s Safe Home 1 project helps fund overnight stays for women and their families who need a safe place because of domestic violence.
An optional networking lunch will run from 1.30pm to 3pm. It costs €45 per person, with €10 from each place going to Safe Home 1. Lunch must be booked in advance through Hard Rock Hotel Marbella. Visitors can contact organiser Nicole King at nicole@nicoleking.es for booking information.
Domestic violence support numbers in Spain
The summit will highlight support for women experiencing domestic violence. The Andalusian Women’s Institute says its free 900 200 999 service is confidential and available 24 hours a day throughout Andalucía. Spain’s national 016 service provides free, confidential information, legal advice and immediate psychosocial support. Telephone support is available in 53 languages. www.juntadeandalucia.es
More information about domestic violence support is available in EWN’s guide for people in Spain.
The summit takes place at Hard Rock Hotel Marbella, Calle Las Violetas, Nueva Andalucía, on Tuesday, November 3. Charities interested in a free information table can contact Nicole King to arrange participation.
