Scotland women began their bid for European Curling Championship glory with a comprehensive 12-3 victory over Denmark.
Fay Henderson's rink edged the opening two ends by single points before the Danes halved the deficit.
However, the Scots took control of their opening match in Ostrava, surging into a five-point lead by the end of the fourth end.
Although Denmark scored two points in the fifth, Scotland ended the contest emphatically with a six-point haul in the sixth and final end.
Henderson's rink return to action on Thursday when they face Sweden, while Scotland men, led by Grant Hardie, begin their campaign against the Netherlands on Wednesday (07:30 GMT) - both matches are available to watch live on the BBC.
