Airlink is ready to launch electric bikes in Pakistan with its new brand, Air EV, on November 4, 2026. The company expects to begin deliveries within about a week of the launch as it looks to expand its business beyond smartphones and other electronic products.
According to a research report by Arif Habib Limited (AHL), Airlink shared its plans during its annual general meeting. The company intends to introduce electric bikes using replaceable lithium-ion batteries and gradually increase local manufacturing.
Airlink to Launch Air EV Electric Bikes in Pakistan on November 4
Airlink will initially source electric bikes from international partners that can offer competitive prices. However, the company plans to shift towards local assembly and manufacturing over time.
The company also aims to achieve up to 95% localisation in the future. It plans to procure lithium-ion batteries locally during the initial phase and increase domestic manufacturing as the business develops.
In July 2026, Airlink announced plans to establish an electric bike manufacturing plant under its own brand, AirV. The upcoming Air EV launch represents another step in the company’s efforts to enter Pakistan’s growing electric mobility market.
Airlink Expands Beyond Smartphones
Airlink is also working to expand its consumer electronics business. Along with smartphones, the company is focusing on products such as air conditioners and televisions to diversify its revenue sources.
According to AHL’s report, Airlink expects air conditioner sales to reach 65,000 units in 2027 and 95,000 units in 2028. Television sales are projected to reach 50,000 units in 2027 and 65,000 units in 2028.
These targets reflect the company’s plans to strengthen its position in Pakistan’s consumer electronics market while exploring new business opportunities.
Airfin to Offer Instalment Financing
Airlink has also established Airfin to provide buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) financing for smartphones, televisions, air conditioners and electric bikes.
The company sees considerable growth potential in Pakistan’s instalment-based financing market. Through Airfin, customers may be able to purchase electronic products and electric bikes through monthly payments rather than paying the full price upfront.
The initiative could also help Airlink attract customers who might otherwise choose used smartphones because of the high cost of new devices. The company expects the financing business to support its profit margins and help offset pressure from slower mobile phone sales.
Airlink Enters a New Market
Airlink has traditionally focused on importing, distributing and selling communication and IT products, including smartphones, mobile phones, tablets and related accessories.
Its entry into the electric bike market marks an important step towards diversifying its business. The success of Air EV will depend on factors such as pricing, product availability, battery performance and the company’s ability to establish local manufacturing.
With the launch scheduled for November 4, customers will soon get their first look at Airlink’s electric bikes. The company’s longer-term localisation target could also create opportunities for domestic manufacturing if its plans progress as expected.
