When Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) brings a new automotive nameplate to Pakistan, the market pays attention. Over the past decade, LMC has consistently disrupted the status quo, elevating local manufacturing standards and ownership expectations. Now, as LMC takes the wheel to lead Pakistan into the new energy era, it has partnered with a proven global powerhouse: GAC Group.
You may already recognize GAC from the futuristic electric cars appearing on local roads. But the real story is much bigger than a new EV badge. Operating on an industrial scale comparable to leading global peers, GAC is an automotive titan built on twenty-eight years of volume manufacturing, blue-chip partnerships, and multi-billion-dollar engineering strength.
A Fortune Global 500 company for 14 consecutive years and ranked as China’s fifth-largest automaker in 2021, GAC has delivered over 30 million vehicles across 121 countries and territories, expanding from Asia and the Middle East into the demanding, heavily regulated markets of Europe.
Long before electric mobility captured global headlines, GAC mastered world-class vehicle assembly through longstanding joint ventures with Japanese automotive royalty: GAC Honda, established in 1998, and GAC Toyota, established in 2004. Decades of building millions of cars alongside Toyota and Honda embedded lean manufacturing, precision engineering, and zero-defect quality control into GAC’s DNA, establishing full-spectrum mastery across internal combustion engines, hybrids, and pure electric platforms.
That engineering discipline is validated by hard results. GAC ranked number one among domestic brands in the J.D. Power China Initial Quality Study (IQS) for eight consecutive years. Backing this reliability is aggressive innovation: in 2025 alone, GAC invested approximately US$1.1 billion directly into R&D.
Crucially for Pakistani drivers, GAC solves electric mobility’s biggest concern, battery safety, with its proprietary Magazine Battery 2.0. Engineered with aerospace thermal insulation, active 3D cooling, and individual cell protection, it has survived extreme nail-penetration, fire-resistance, water-submersion, and live military ballistic gunshot tests without catching fire or exploding.
Now, through Lucky Motor Corporation, this global engineering weight arrives in Pakistan with complete nationwide dealership support, certified technicians, genuine parts, and an industry leading 8 year warranty.
The local rollout introduces three distinct models tailored to every lifestyle: the GAC AION UT, an agile, European-styled compact electric car built for smart city driving; the GAC AION V, a spacious, tech-forward mid-size electric SUV designed for family versatility; and the flagship GAC Hyptec HT, an ultra-luxury electric SUV featuring an executive lounge cabin, and hyper-fast charging.
Backed by the trusted strength of Lucky Motor Corporation, GAC is here to power Pakistan’s electric future on proven, world-class ground.
