Santa Pola’s tourist information services have again been recognised for the quality of the assistance they provide to visitors. Two tourist offices retain quality certification
Santa Pola’s two tourist information offices have retained their Q for Tourism Quality certification after successfully completing their 2026 follow-up audit.
Tourist Info Centro, located at the castle, and Tourist Info Palmeral both maintained the quality mark awarded by the Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality and Sustainability (ICTES).
Santa Pola first achieved the certification at the end of 2021. It recognises standards in tourist information and visitor services, together with continued work to improve the experience offered to people visiting the municipality.
Staff professionalism praised during latest audit
The latest audit particularly praised the professionalism, qualifications and involvement of staff at both offices, as well as their knowledge of Santa Pola’s natural, cultural and historical attractions.
The town’s guided tour programme also received positive recognition, with the audit highlighting high levels of participant satisfaction.
Both face-to-face assistance and information provided through digital channels were assessed favourably, reflecting the different ways visitors can now obtain information about Santa Pola and its attractions.
Accessibility and digital services make progress
Progress in accessibility, innovation and tourism digitalisation was also recognised, alongside Santa Pola’s development as a Smart Tourism Destination and its work promoting local attractions.
The audit additionally highlighted the organisation of the tourist information service and its continued implementation of improvements designed to make assistance more efficient and responsive to visitors’ needs.
These areas form part of Santa Pola’s continuing efforts to develop its tourism services and ensure information remains accessible to visitors both in person and through digital channels.
Certification confirms national quality standards
Retaining the Q certification confirms that both offices continue to meet the required national tourism quality standards.
The successful follow-up audit means Tourist Info Centro and Tourist Info Palmeral continue with the quality mark first achieved by Santa Pola at the end of 2021, recognising the municipality’s ongoing work to maintain and improve the service offered to visitors.
