Last week, Chvrches announced All The King's Men, the followup to 2021's Screen Violence. So far the Scottish synthpop band has shared "Roses" and debuted the unreleased "Conman" live, and today they're releasing the second single "Overthinker."
Lauren Mayberry — who released her debut solo album Vicious Creature in 2024 — says "Overthinker" is about a relationship with "someone who is your shelter and your storm." The song is a massive, sweeping power ballad accompanied by a music video that depicts Mayberry singing in front of a bouncy house that deflates dramatically at the end. Watch below.
All The King's Men is out 1/22 on Futures.
