Gigi Lamayne has never spoken publicly about losing her fiancé until now. In a deeply personal appearance on the *Engineer Your Life With Lungelo KM* podcast, the rapper let her guard down and shared what the experience of losing the man she planned to marry truly did to her.
Filmed in what appears to be a modern studio lounge with professional lighting and on-screen captions, the interview had a raw, reflective tone that caught many off guard. Gigi sat across from the host and spoke candidly about grief, identity, and the version of herself that did not survive that loss.

Before describing how the tragedy reshaped who she is, she told the host that someone who knew her before and after the loss would be meeting two entirely different people.
"That was probably the most painful thing I've ever experienced. I used to cry. It takes a lot for me to cry now. Some people feel I'm cold now."
She also spoke about the sacrifice she was prepared to make for that relationship, revealing she had been willing to step away from music entirely.
"I'm willing to stop the music. I'm willing to stop everything because I really want this life for myself. It just subsides, and on some days you feel it more than others."
One of the most striking moments came when Gigi described the questions that consumed her in the aftermath. Questions directed at God, at herself, and about whether she somehow deserved what happened.
"Am I not deserving? Am I not deserving?"
The interview also touched on her current relationship with rapper Reason, adding another layer to a conversation that was already deeply personal.
