HCLTech has completed its acquisition of 100% of Robotic Process Automation d.o.o., a Croatia-based enterprise robotic process automation (RPA) provider operating as Robotiq.ai. A regulatory filing said the transaction was completed at 4:58 p.m. IST on October 26.
HCL Technologies Austria GmbH, a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of HCLTech, acquired the stake in Robotiq.ai. HCLTech announced the proposed acquisition on September 28, valuing the transaction at an enterprise value of €9 million, subject to customary adjustments for net debt and working capital.
Robotiq.ai provides software that automates repetitive tasks across enterprise applications. According to HCLSoftware’s September announcement, its RPA platform can execute tasks in applications where application programming interfaces (APIs) are unavailable or insufficient.
HCLSoftware plans to integrate Robotiq.ai’s technology with HCL UnO Agentic, its platform for orchestrating AI agents and enterprise workflows. The integration is intended to extend the platform’s capabilities from coordinating AI-driven workflows to executing tasks within business applications.
“Robotiq.ai strengthens HCL UnO Agentic by combining orchestration with enterprise-grade execution,” Kalyan Kumar, President of HCLSoftware, said in the September announcement. He added that the combination would help customers deploy and scale agentic AI across their operations.
The acquisition adds to HCLSoftware’s efforts to expand its enterprise data and AI portfolio through acquisitions. In January, the company outlined how its purchases of Wobby, which develops AI data analyst agents, and Jaspersoft, an embedded analytics platform, fit into its data and analytics strategy.
HCLTech’s completion filing confirmed the transaction but did not provide an updated breakdown of Robotiq.ai’s financial performance or details of the integration timeline.
