Beauty entrepreneur and content creator Mihlali Ndam showed up at the Glamour Hair & Beauty Masterclass 2026 as a guest speaker, ready to share her expertise with the audience. What she didn't anticipate was that her suit would steal the entire conversation — and not for the reasons she might have hoped.
Mihlali's Suit Steals the Spotlight
The award-winning makeup artist and brand strategist attended the Glamour SA event on Sunday, 26 October 2026, dressed in an oversized suit that quickly caught the attention of everyone watching online. The look, while bold, sparked a wave of comparisons to South African politician Gwede Mantashe, who is well known for wearing noticeably large suits.
X account @Burnerburnerac5 posted about the look, writing: "Girl Mihlali was at the Glamour SA event serving Gwede Mantashe realness in that suit," and the reactions came pouring in shortly after.
What made the roasting sharper is that Mihlali owns a boutique known for stunning dresses, leaving many wondering why she opted for the oversized look on such a high-profile occasion.
Netizens React to the Look
The comparisons to Mantashe had X users cracking up, with several weighing in on whether the ensemble worked for Mihlali's frame:

Briefly News reported that, despite the online roasting, Mihlali remains one of South Africa's most celebrated beauty voices, and her appearance as a guest speaker at the Glamour Masterclass speaks to her standing in the industry. The suit moment, however, has given Mzansi something to talk about long after the event wrapped up.
