A Bangkok sex-and-drugs raid nets Israeli Tomer Kahiri, 54, and a Thai woman. Police find crystal meth, a suspected drug-laced cake and secret sex videos. The Israeli, overstaying 2,095 days, reportedly threatens to kill investigator Inspector Jae in a rage.
Israeli Tomer Kahiri, 54, was arrested in Bangkok on Friday over claims he drugged women with cake and secretly filmed sex encounters. During the raid, he reportedly threatened to kill prominent police investigator Inspector Jae, boasting that powerful friends would free him within two hours. Police seized crystal meth, suspected drug-laced cake and secret sex videos. Meanwhile, immigration officers uncovered a staggering 2,095-day visa overstay. A Thai woman, 44, was also arrested. Metropolitan Police deputy commissioner Major General Theeradej Thamsuthee led the operation. Investigators are probing suspected drug trafficking, sexual offences and possible blackmail.

Israeli national Tomer Kahiri, 54, threatened to kill a prominent Bangkok police investigator during a dramatic condominium raid on Friday. The suspect also boasted that powerful connections would secure his release within two hours.
Police seized crystal methamphetamine, suspected drug-laced cake and a telephone containing secretly filmed sexual encounters. The operation followed complaints that women were lured through dating applications, given suspicious food and filmed during sex.
Meanwhile, immigration officers discovered Kahiri had overstayed his visa by 2,095 days. A Thai woman was also arrested. The reported death threat targeted Inspector Jae, a well-known Bangkok crime investigator working under the commander who directed the raid.
Bangkok police raid Israeli suspect’s condominium after women report drugged cake and secret sex videos
The operation unfolded on Friday, 23 October, at a condominium on Pracha Uthit Road in Bangkok’s Huai Khwang district. Police Major General Theeradej Thamsuthee, deputy commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, directed the raid.
His team included narcotics investigators and officers from Division 4 of the Immigration Bureau. Their principal target was Kahiri, an Israeli national nicknamed Tom Yum Kung.
Police had been investigating claims that Kahiri used dating applications to contact women before inviting them to his apartment. There, he reportedly offered female visitors cake suspected of containing narcotics.
One complaint described a woman becoming dizzy and sexually aroused after eating the food. Subsequently, sexual intercourse took place, and the encounter was reportedly filmed without her knowledge.
The allegations prompted a coordinated investigation involving Bangkok narcotics officers and immigration police. However, the arrest soon developed into a confrontation. Kahiri reportedly claimed that an influential individual would intervene and secure his release within two hours. He also demanded the names of the officers and threatened to have them transferred or dismissed.
Israeli suspect threatens to kill Inspector Jae as narcotics hotline complaint leads police to his flat
The threats then took a more serious turn. According to local sources, Kahiri threatened to kill Police Lieutenant Colonel Thanpheerisit Chulpiphop, widely known as Inspector Jae. The officer is a prominent Metropolitan Police investigator who has participated in major narcotics and organised crime operations. Notably, he works closely with Police Major General Theeradej, the commander directing Friday’s raid.
The investigation began with a complaint submitted through Thailand’s 1386 narcotics hotline. The caller described an Israeli man with an eagle tattoo on his left upper arm. According to the information received, he contacted women through dating applications and invited them to his condominium. The complaint also described suspicious food and secretly recorded sexual encounters.
In particular, the information concerned a woman who experienced dizziness and increased sexual arousal after eating cake. The food had reportedly been prepared by the Israeli suspect. Sexual intercourse followed, and the encounter was filmed without her knowledge, according to the complaint. The information raised suspicions that narcotics had been mixed into the cake.
As a result, the Bangkok Office of Narcotics Control passed the complaint to the Metropolitan Police Bureau’s Narcotics Suppression Centre. Police Major General Theeradej ordered investigators to identify the suspect and locate his apartment. Officers examined the description supplied through the hotline, including the distinctive eagle tattoo. Their inquiries eventually led them to Kahiri in Huai Khwang.
Immigration checks uncover 2,095-day overstay before officers seize crystal meth and arrest Thai woman
In parallel, investigators coordinated with immigration officers to examine his permission to remain in Thailand. The checks revealed an extraordinary overstay of 2,095 days. Kahiri had remained in the country for approximately five years and nine months beyond his permitted stay. Despite this, he continued living at a condominium in central Bangkok.
Police also examined his daily activities. According to investigators, Kahiri appeared to have no regular employment and spent much of his time inside the apartment. Nevertheless, he had sufficient money to meet his living expenses. Officers also reported that several women were seen entering and leaving his room.
The findings gave investigators further information about the suspect’s movements and activities. Subsequently, Theeradej authorised the operation involving Metropolitan Police narcotics investigators and immigration officers. The team moved against Kahiri’s condominium on Friday. Inside, officers arrested the Israeli alongside a 44-year-old Thai woman identified as Phatchanok.
Both were accused of narcotics offences. During the search, police recovered 15 grammes of crystal methamphetamine. They also seized approximately 50 small plastic bags associated with the suspected drug operation. A weighing scale was recovered alongside the drugs and packaging materials.
Police seize suspected drug-laced cake and phone containing secret sex videos and drug-trading messages
Officers additionally discovered a tray containing cake suspected of being mixed with narcotics. The discovery directly related to the original complaint concerning female visitors. Investigators had received information that women were offered cake before sexual encounters. Accordingly, the tray was retained as evidence.
The search also uncovered a mobile telephone containing material that became central to the investigation. According to police, the device held communications concerning the purchase and possible resale of narcotics. More significantly, officers discovered numerous recordings of sexual activity involving several women.
Some videos reportedly showed Kahiri having intercourse with women on a sofa inside the condominium. Police said the encounters had been secretly filmed. The recordings expanded the investigation beyond the original complaint. Investigators began examining the material alongside the suspected drug-laced cake and narcotics evidence.
On another front, officers examined communications recovered from the telephone concerning suspected drug trading. Police said the information indicated that Kahiri purchased narcotics for resale. The discovery was considered alongside the crystal methamphetamine, plastic bags and weighing scale recovered during the raid.
Israeli denies owning crystal meth as police file narcotics and immigration charges against both suspects
Kahiri denied ownership of the crystal methamphetamine. Even so, police proceeded with charges of jointly possessing a Category 1 narcotic without permission. The substance was identified as methamphetamine, commonly known as crystal meth or ice. The Israeli was also charged with remaining in Thailand after his immigration permission had expired.
That charge covered his full 2,095-day overstay. In addition, Kahiri was accused of refusing to undergo a narcotics test requested by authorised officers. A further charge concerned failure to comply with a lawful police order without reasonable cause. These offences formed the publicly announced case against him following Friday’s operation.
Meanwhile, Phatchanok, 44, faced separate criminal proceedings. She was charged with jointly possessing methamphetamine without permission. She was also accused of illegally consuming a Category 1 narcotic. Both suspects were subsequently transferred to investigators at Huai Khwang Police Station.
The confrontation during the raid became another major feature of the case. According to Thai reports, Kahiri repeatedly claimed that influential people could intervene on his behalf. He insisted that a powerful individual would arrange his release within two hours. Furthermore, he demanded the names of the officers responsible for arresting him.
Israeli threatens police careers and Inspector Jae, the Bangkok investigator known for his trademark hat
The Israeli then reportedly threatened to have the entire team transferred or dismissed. His statements were directed at officers carrying out the narcotics and immigration operation. The confrontation escalated when he threatened to kill Inspector Jae, one of Bangkok’s most recognisable criminal investigators.
Inspector Jae’s full name is Police Lieutenant Colonel Thanpheerisit Chulpiphop. He serves within the Metropolitan Police Bureau’s investigative operations. Over the years, he has worked on cases involving narcotics, organised fraud, sexual offences and other serious crimes. His distinctive appearance has also made him a familiar figure in Thai crime reporting.
The officer frequently wears a knitted hat, sometimes accompanied by a face covering. This unusual appearance has become closely associated with his police work. However, the hat originally served a practical purpose. Inspector Jae has explained that it was given to him by Police Major General Theeradej, his longtime mentor.
Initially, the headwear helped make him less recognisable during investigations. Later, it became a trademark of his appearances in police operations and media reports. His participation in high-profile cases also attracted considerable public attention. Indeed, Thai news organisations frequently identify him by his nickname rather than his full name.
From Bangkok police recruit to major crime investigations, Inspector Jae builds a high-profile career
Inspector Jae was born in Bangkok and attended Wat Bowonniwet School. The future police hero later entered Thailand’s military and police education system. After that, he graduated from Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School Class 53 before attending the Royal Police Cadet Academy. He completed his training as a member of Royal Police Cadet Academy Class 69.
His police career began on 7 November 2016. His first posting was at Chok Chai Police Station in Bangkok. He subsequently served in the Narcotics Suppression Bureau before moving into Metropolitan Police investigations. During his career, he developed experience investigating serious criminal offences and pursuing suspects.
Among his assignments was the nationally prominent investigation into the death of three-year-old Nong Chompoo. That case attracted extensive media coverage and public attention across Thailand. Inspector Jae also participated in investigations targeting call-centre fraud networks. Other cases involved suspected sexual offences and individuals claiming influential connections.
His professional relationship with Police Major General Theeradej is particularly significant. The senior officer previously commanded the Metropolitan Police Bureau’s Investigation Division. He has also served in the Crime Suppression Division and Narcotics Suppression Bureau. Throughout his career, Theeradej has worked on major investigations involving drug trafficking and organised criminal activity.
Inspector Jae’s close ties to raid commander emerge as Israeli suspect claims powerful friends can help
According to security sources, the relationship between the two officers began around 2017. At that time, the younger investigator approached Theeradej seeking to learn investigative techniques. He subsequently became part of the senior officer’s team. Their professional association continued through later assignments.
A July 2026 Daily News report identified Inspector Jae among officers working under Theeradej on significant investigations. The two have therefore been professionally associated for almost a decade. On Friday, Theeradej directed the operation against Kahiri. Inspector Jae became the target of the reported death threat during the arrest.
The Israeli’s claims of influential protection added another dimension to the confrontation. According to reports, he maintained that a powerful individual could resolve his difficulties. He insisted that his release would be arranged within two hours. At the same time, he threatened the careers of officers involved in the operation.
Thairath reported further details concerning Kahiri’s behaviour during the proceedings. The Israeli reportedly requested legal representation and asked for a lawyer to attend. However, the expected lawyer did not arrive. He also complained of injuries and requested medical attention.
During questioning, Kahiri reportedly provided details concerning his personal background. He described himself as a former Israeli soldier. He also claimed to have worked in the fabric-export business. According to his account, he had two children and moved to Thailand following the breakdown of a relationship.
Police examine suspect’s finances and phone messages pointing to possible purchases of drugs for resale
The suspect’s account contrasted with police observations concerning his activities in Bangkok. Investigators had reported that he appeared to have no regular employment. Nevertheless, he maintained sufficient money for daily expenses. Several women were also seen visiting his condominium.
The discovery of suspected drug-trading communications therefore became another focus of the investigation. Officers found the information on Kahiri’s seized telephone. They also recovered crystal methamphetamine, packaging materials and weighing equipment from the apartment. Police said the communications indicated purchases of narcotics intended for resale.
Police pursue drug and sex recordings inquiries after immigration officers uncover the Israeli’s overstay
The investigation had originally begun with the narcotics hotline complaint. Consequently, the immigration offence was uncovered after Metropolitan Police investigators coordinated with Immigration Bureau officers. The discovery became one of the principal charges filed following Friday’s arrest.
Attention also turned to the suspected sexual offences involving women contacted through dating applications. The original complaint described a woman experiencing dizziness and increased sexual arousal after eating cake. Sexual intercourse reportedly followed, and the encounter was secretly recorded.
Police subsequently discovered videos involving several women on Kahiri’s telephone. The recordings reportedly showed sexual encounters taking place on a sofa inside the condominium. Investigators are examining the material alongside the original complaint and suspected drug-laced food. They are also investigating possible blackmail connected to the recordings.
The seized telephone contains evidence relevant to both strands of the investigation. Police reported finding communications concerning suspected narcotics purchases and resale. They also recovered recordings of sexual activity involving female visitors. Meanwhile, the tray of cake remains part of the evidence gathered during the raid.
Bangkok raid ends in arrests and multiple charges as police retain suspected drugs, cake and secret videos
Kahiri’s arrest followed a coordinated investigation prompted by information supplied through the 1386 narcotics hotline. Officers traced him using the description provided, his activities at the condominium and immigration records. By Friday, investigators had identified his apartment and established his lengthy overstay.
The raid then produced crystal methamphetamine, packaging equipment, suspected drug-laced cake and the telephone containing intimate recordings. Kahiri denied ownership of the drugs. Nevertheless, police filed charges concerning narcotics possession, immigration violations, refusal of drug testing and failure to obey lawful instructions.
The Thai woman arrested alongside him faces separate charges concerning possession and consumption of methamphetamine. Both were handed over to Huai Khwang Police Station for legal proceedings. Officers also transferred the seized evidence for examination.

The reported threats against Inspector Jae and his colleagues remain part of the police account. Kahiri claimed powerful connections could secure his release and threatened to have the arresting team dismissed. He also reportedly threatened to kill the well-known investigator.
Instead, officers completed the raid and transferred both suspects into police custody. Investigators retained the drugs, packaging materials, weighing scale, suspected drug-laced cake and telephone. The inquiry continues into the recorded sexual encounters, suspected narcotics trading and possible blackmail involving female visitors.
