The Milwaukee Brewers have blasted Game 3 of the World Series wide open. After building up an early 2-0 lead in the third, the Brewers blasted eight runs in the fifth inning alone to knock former teammate Freddy Peralta out of the game.
As noted by Yahoo Sports, all eight runs in the inning came with two outs as Peralta was unable to get out of the jam. Peralta’s final line was five earned runs on seven hits in 4.2 innings with four strikeouts and three walks.
Cam Booser came on in relief of the ALCS MVP, but he too failed to get the last out they needed. Instead, he gave up four more runs and was yanked after only 12 pitches. Cole Sulser finally got the third out, but not before giving up another run to make the game 10-0.

Brewers star Jackson Chourio is having the game of his life, going 4-of-4 through the first five innings. He got the fifth inning going by being the first Brewer to get on base. But it has been a complete team effort for the Brewers, who already have 13 hits. Every single player in the lineup already has a hit and an RBI, except reigning NLCS MVP Jake Bauers. He made two of the three outs in the fifth, including the final one.
While the Rays pitchers continue to struggle, Brewers starter Robert Gasser has been rock-solid, giving up just one hit through five innings.
At this point, it would take a truly historic collapse for the Brewers to not go up and take a commanding 3-0 lead in the World Series.
