KUANTAN: The Pahang Palace has strongly denied claims made in a fabricated TikTok video concerning a purported recent visit to Indonesia by the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah.
In a Facebook post, the Pahang Sultanate said the video, circulated through a TikTok account named 'yayasan.hilmi.fir', falsely claimed that the Crown Prince had visited Indonesia to witness a religious ritual conducted by an individual described as an ustaz (religious teacher).
"The video does not show the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang at all. It is entirely fabricated and defamatory, intended to attract public attention through a social media account suspected of being operated by scammers," the post said.
The palace said the clarification followed the circulation of messages misusing Tengku Hassanal's name to deceive the public.
It condemned the act as an irresponsible scam attempt that could tarnish the reputation of the royal institution.
