Last month, Twelve South introduced the wildly popular AirFly Drive, its first wireless CarPlay adapter (which is now back in stock after initially selling out).
Now, the popular accessory maker is back with Airfly View, which adds a built-in screen to its other popular wireless audio dongle. You can order it on Amazon today. Here’s how it works.
For those unfamiliar, Twelve South’s Airfly accessory is a popular choice among travelers. It lets you connect your AirPods or other Bluetooth headphones to the seat-back entertainment screen on a plane, even if that screen doesn’t support Bluetooth natively. And while it’s particularly popular among travelers, it actually can make a headphone jack wireless just about anywhere.
The new Airfly View builds on the Airfly foundation by adding a built-in screen. The screen makes it easier to set up Airfly, guiding you through the process with on-screen prompts. Airfly View offers up to 16 hours of battery life, and the screen makes it easy to know when it’s time to charge.
Twelve South explains:
Airfly View shows each step of pairing on its own display, in any of 24 languages, whether that happens at home the night before or at the gate before boarding. On the plane, plug it into the seatback jack and the screen shows which headphones are connected and how much battery is left, then turns off when it is not in use.
More Airfly View features:
- Use your own wireless headphones or earbuds with any headphone jack.
- Built-in screen with step-by-step guided setup.
- On-screen setup in 24 languages.
- Connect two wireless headphones at once.
- Zippered hard-shell travel case included.
- International airline adapter included.
- Up to 16 hours of battery life, with battery level shown on screen.
- Works with seatbacks, gym equipment, cars, boats, and home stereos.
- Auracast broadcast support.
You can order the new Airfly View on Amazon today for $79.99 in black and coastal color options.
