Personnel from the Directorate-General for Drugs Control have arrested four men in four separate incidents for trafficking in narcotics, psychotropic substances and alcoholic beverages, and seized significant quantities of illegal substances and 97 bottles of imported booze.
The Ministry of Interior, said the seizures included two kilos of marijuana, one kilo of cocaine, 1,000 Captagon pills, 80 grams of methamphetamine and 11 A4-sized sheets of paper soaked in synthetic cannabinoids.
One of those arrested was found in possession of 97 bottles of alcoholic beverages and 520 dinars in cash, which the ministry linked to proceeds from the sales.
The four suspects, along with the seized substances and other items, have been referred to the competent authorities for the necessary legal proceedings, the ministry said.
