Samsung’s S700D is built for people who want stronger TV sound without putting a big speaker system in the room. This ultra-slim 3.1-channel soundbar comes with a separate wireless subwoofer, and there’s a nice deal on Amazon right now that makes it a lot more tempting.
The big draw here is how much Samsung packs into a low-profile design. The HW-S700D supports Wireless Dolby Atmos, along with DTS-based virtual surround processing and up-firing sound to create a wider, more room-filling effect. It’s also designed to look right at home under a modern wall-mounted TV, so it doesn’t take over your setup just to improve your audio.
Samsung also includes some useful extras. Q-Symphony lets compatible Samsung TVs and the soundbar play together, while SpaceFit Sound Pro tunes the audio based on your room. Adaptive Sound can help make dialogue easier to follow, and Game Mode Pro is there to better highlight gaming audio cues. On top of that, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi streaming add more ways to use it beyond just TV audio.
As for the deal, Amazon has the Samsung S700D down to $398, from its $549.99 recommended retail price. That’s a 28% discount off the RRP, which works out to about $151 in savings. For a soundbar that focuses on slim styling, immersive audio features, and Samsung TV integration, this looks like a good time to buy.
