The partnership will cover consumer and creator co-brand card programmes, Mastercard Priceless experiences, tools and education designed to help creators turn ideas into business opportunities and build stronger financial futures.
"By combining Mastercard’s payments network, digital capabilities and loyalty expertise with Beast Industries’ creator ecosystem, the organisations plan to help creators manage and scale their work," says a statement.
Jill Kramer, chief marketing and communications officer, Mastercard, says: “Through our work with Beast Industries, we're meeting people where they are, bringing culture and commerce closer together, and opening new pathways from ideas and influence to meaningful economic opportunity.”
This is not MrBeast's (real name Jimmy Donaldson) first foray into financial services. Earlier this year he announced the acquisition of teen-focused fintech Step. The deal caught the attention of US Senator Elizabeth Warren, who wrote to Donaldson demanding answers about the app's possible future promotion of crypto, NFTs and DeFi.
