Dogecoin Labs was established on October 21 through a partnership with the Dogecoin Foundation, bringing the MyDoge wallet, the DogeOS application layer, and the Such App payment tool under an independent organization led by Jordan Jefferson. The new structure connects developer infrastructure with the user base of wallets and merchant tools, in an effort to expand DOGE’s utility beyond market trading.
According to the launch announcement, Dogecoin Labs will be responsible for product development and commercial operations, while the Dogecoin Foundation continues to manage open-source development and the community. This effort remains in its early stages. The new DogeOS operates on a public testnet, Such App is currently in beta, and the number of active users, participating merchants, and payment volumes have not been disclosed.

Three Dogecoin Products Under One Roof
Dogecoin Labs stated it will own and operate MyDoge, DogeOS, and Such App after bringing the three product teams into a single organization. MyDoge will distribute DogeOS-based applications to DOGE holders, while Such App adds payment tools for businesses.
The first product integration appeared in MyDoge V3, a version deployed in recent weeks that gives users direct access to DogeOS applications from within the wallet. Dogecoin Labs stated that MyDoge has surpassed 500,000 users without paid acquisition. The company did not disclose the number of monthly active accounts or how many users have utilized the new application features.
DogeOS launched an Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible public testnet on September 30, allowing developers to test trading, lending, stablecoin, gaming, and prediction market products using EVM tools. The platform does not yet have a mainnet schedule; thus, applications are currently deployed in a test environment rather than serving full commercial activity.
Such App is currently in beta and already supports businesses in creating DOGE invoices and receiving direct payments via QR codes. The product development team will join Dogecoin Labs, while the integration between Such App and DogeOS is still being planned. The number of participating merchants, completed transactions, and total payment volume have not been disclosed.
A New Commercial Structure
The Dogecoin Foundation has selected Dogecoin Labs as its new official commercial partner, while the Foundation remains responsible for open-source development, trademark protection, and community activities. Product development and commercial expansion will transition to the new organization.
Jordan Jefferson, founder of MyDoge and DogeOS, serves as CEO of Dogecoin Labs. Alex Lewis, co-founder of both projects, along with Tim Stebbing, a director at the Dogecoin Foundation, also joined the leadership team. Stebbing will step down from the board of directors of House of Doge to move to Dogecoin Labs.
House of Doge, a Nasdaq-listed company trading under the ticker HODO, signed agreements to transfer certain product, engineering, and commercial operations and related assets to Dogecoin Labs. In exchange, the company will receive a strategic equity stake in the new organization. Ownership percentage, Dogecoin Labs’ valuation, and the value of transferred assets were not disclosed.
The announcement listed meeting closing conditions and completing the transfer under forward-looking statements, indicating the transaction had not fully closed at the time of publication.
The previous exclusive commercial agreement between House of Doge and the Dogecoin Foundation has been replaced by a new long-term license. House of Doge retains the right to collaborate with 21Shares on Dogecoin-related investment products, but will focus its resources on alternative asset tokenization and sports investments. The company continues to benefit from DOGE app development through its ownership stake in Dogecoin Labs.
DogeOS Remains on Public Testnet
DogeOS remains in the public testnet stage following its network launch on September 30. CEO Jordan Jefferson stated that the mainnet schedule will only be announced when the project reaches its next development milestones, without specifying an estimated timeline or specific completion conditions.
DogeOS applications operate on an EVM-compatible layer separate from Dogecoin’s base blockchain, using DOGE as transaction fees. The test network currently relies on a trusted execution environment, a set of validators, and a permissioned sequencer to process and validate activity.
Dogecoin has not directly validated the zero-knowledge execution proofs generated by DogeOS. The development team proposed changes to Dogecoin Core to enable miners to verify these proofs, but the upgrade has not yet been deployed. In the meantime, validation continues to rely on the mechanism operated by DogeOS.
DogeOS user documentation continues to mark several featured applications as “coming soon.” The project has not disclosed testnet user numbers, transaction volume, deployed asset value, or active application count. DogeOS previously raised $6.9 million in a funding round led by Polychain Capital in May 2025 to develop the platform and developer tools.
What Comes Next
Dogecoin Labs’ upcoming milestones include bringing DogeOS to mainnet, connecting Such App to the application layer, and transitioning test products to a production environment. The organization has not provided a completion timeline for these plans.
If products are integrated as planned, MyDoge could become a gateway bringing DOGE holders to application and payment services, rather than serving solely for token storage and transfers. This direction aligns with broader trends in the memecoin market, where projects are adding games, applications, and payments to retain users as token attention fluctuates in cycles.
At launch, Dogecoin Labs primarily reorganizes how Dogecoin teams and products are structured. The number of production apps, active users on DogeOS, merchants using Such App, and total payment volume will demonstrate whether this new structure successfully generates additional utility demand for DOGE.
