Rachel Moseley has been appointed Australia’s ambassador for arms control and counter-proliferation.
Former Mexican ambassador Rachel Moseley has stepped into a new role, replacing Vanessa Wood as ambassador for arms control and counter-proliferation.
Moseley is currently a DFAT assistant secretary for the arms control and counter-proliferation branch, and previously served on overseas missions in Mexico, Port Moresby and the UN in Geneva.
In her new role, Moseley has been charged with supporting the effective regulation of conventional arms on Australia’s behalf, as well as leading advocacy to counter the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery systems (including the use of chemical and biological weapons).
