Miami-based UHealth, the University of Miami Health System, has partnered with Longitude Rx to support its specialty pharmacy program.
Longitude Rx will provide support services, drawing on its specialty pharmacy expertise, technology and health system-focused model, according to an Oct. 22 news release. The arrangement is meant to help UHealth improve patient access and keep care more continuous across the specialty medication journey, building on its existing specialty pharmacy operations.
UHealth is South Florida’s only academic health system, treating complex conditions through institutions such as Miami-based Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and Miami-based Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
Longitude Rx, a health system-owned specialty pharmacy services organization, was formed in 2025 as part of Longitude Health. Its founding members are Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health, Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System, Ann Arbor-based Michigan Medicine, Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health and Renton, Wash.-based Providence. Together, its founding members and customers generate more than $100 billion in net patient service revenue.
