The Black Friday sales will be kicking off in a few weeks, but if you don’t want to wait, I just uncovered an Amazon Fire tablet deal that deserves your immediate attention. The Fire HD 10, a versatile tablet with a great display and 4GB of RAM, has scored a whopping 53% discount at Amazon, knocking the price of the slab down to just $72.99 for a limited time. No Prime membership required, no strings attached: just good old-fashioned savings on your new favorite couch companion.
8.5/10
- 32 or 64
- Up to 13 hours
- USB-C, MicroSD
- LCD
Currently 53% off at Amazon, the Fire HD 10 is a versatile couch companion with a vibrant 1080p display, 13-hour battery, and up to 1TB of expandable storage using microSD.
Keep it simple with the Amazon Fire HD 10
This deal has been running for a while, but with the holiday sales swiftly approaching, it’s likely that Amazon will put this tablet discount into a temporarily-dormant state very soon. In other words, if you want to beat the Black Friday crowds, I’d plan to order the Fire HD 10 before November 1st.
Currently priced at just $73, the Amazon Fire HD 10 boasts a vibrant 10.1-inch FHD display with a highly-responsive touchscreen, while under the hood you get an upgraded octa-core CPU with up to 13 hours of battery life on a single charge. This configuration of the tablet comes with 32GB of onboard storage, but you can also expand this capacity up to 1TB with a microSD.
Like all the tablets in Amazon’s Fire lineup, the Fire HD 10 was constructed with portability in mind. The device is lightweight and durable, constructed from aluminosilicate glass and clocking in at just under a pound in weight. It also comes with two decent 5MP cameras, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack (which is a bit of a rarity these days).
So what's the catch?
For starters, it’s important to note that the Amazon Fire HD 10 is a casual device for casual users, and that’s reflected in the price. It’s not a laptop replacement. This 2023 device is the kind of tablet you bring on a road trip or give to a child so that they have something to do on a long flight. That said, if you want something simple and affordable for reading, streaming, and casual gaming, it’s a reliable choice with very few drawbacks.
It’s also worth mentioning that this version of the tablet has lock-screen ads, which is another reason why Amazon can make the Fire HD 10 so affordable. Fortunately, you can remove these ads whenever you’re ready by paying a one-time $15 fee.
Will the Amazon Fire HD 10 get even cheaper when the Black Friday sales begin in earnest? It’s hard to say, but if you don’t want to wait, now’s your chance to get a straightforward and reliable Amazon tablet at a price that won’t break the bank.
