Flavor Flav is encouraging fans to play hooky so they can watch Game 6 of the WNBA Finals between the Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream.
The Public Enemy rapper and longtime supporter of women's sports posted a mock note to bosses on X urging them to excuse employees from work on Thursday, Oct. 29.
"You know what time it is!" Flav wrote, before pointing out that the game tips at 9:30 a.m. at Atlanta's State Farm Arena.
The Valkyries enter Game 6 with a 3-2 series lead after beating the Dream 64-55 at Chase Center on Monday, Oct. 26.
A victory Thursday in Atlanta would give Golden State its first WNBA championship in just its second season.
The game will air on USA Network and stream on Peacock.
"EVERYBODY WATCHES WOMEN'S SPORTS!" Flav wrote in his pitch to employers. "Consider it your contribution to gender equality."
He signed it as "The World's Greatest Hype Man," followed by "Official Supporter of Women's Sports.".
In 2024, Flavor Flav became an official hype man and sponsor for the U.S. women's water polo team after responding to a social media post from team captain Maggie Steffens, a Danville native and Stanford alumna, about the need for greater attention and financial support for the sport. Flav subsequently signed a five-year deal with USA Water Polo and joined the team around the Paris Olympics.
The Valkyries have won two straight games after falling behind Atlanta 2-1 in the Finals. Their Game 5 victory at Chase Center put them one win away from a championship, while a Dream victory Thursday would force a deciding Game 7 in San Francisco on Saturday, Oct. 31.
So, according to Flav, there's only one thing left to do: Talk to your boss.
