A limited ceasefire has begun around the besieged Ukrainian city of Kherson – as an operation begins to mount a humanitarian mission in the Russian occupied town of Oleshky, just across the river.
Russian forces have effectively blockaded the town for months leaving residents critically short of food, water and electricity.
Ukraine and Russia will observe a local truce until November 1st to allow the safe evacuation of residents and access for urgently needed aid.
