Anusha Lakmali, alias “Achini”, a suspect wanted by police in connection with the killing of Aruna Vidanagamage, alias “Kajja”, and his 02 children, has been brought back to Sri Lanka.
Police said an Interpol Red Notice had been issued against her and that she was arrested in the United Arab Emirates.
Arrangements were subsequently made to bring the suspect back to Sri Lanka.
Police are conducting further investigations to determine her involvement in the murders of Kajja and his 02 children.
On February 18th, 2026, Kajja was shot dead in Middeniya, and his two injured children later succumbed to their injuries.
