(ANSA) - ROME, 27 OTT - Unions representing Italy's taxi drivers on Tuesday called a national strike December 15 due to government "inertia" on meeting their demands.
"Due to the government's total inerta," they said, "taxi sector trade unions and industry associations—meeting today in Florence—have called for a national strike for the entire day of December 15, 2026, to be accompanied by a demonstration in Rome.
"In the lead-up to this date, three demonstrations will be held in November—in Milan (November 11), Naples (November 17), and Florence (November 25)—to draw the authorities' attention to the difficulties facing the sector." (ANSA).
