ADEN – Yemen's government forces announced on Monday that they had carried out surprise military operations and intensive airstrikes that disrupted Houthi movements and improved army positions on several strategic hills and key locations along the Taiz front, as part of a broader campaign targeting the group's military capabilities across multiple battlefields.
In a statement, military spokesperson Majed Al-Nazili said the operations were conducted under the framework of the military campaign dubbed "Dawn of Yemen", which involved heavy air support and precision strikes deep inside Houthi-controlled areas.
According to the statement, the attacks targeted command centers, artillery positions, supply routes, and weapons depots, with a particular focus on the fronts of Taiz, Marib, Al-Jawf, Al-Bayda, and southern battle zones.
Al-Nazili said the coordinated operations over the past 24 hours aimed to weaken the Houthis' operational capabilities and hinder their ability to move reinforcements and military equipment between fronts.
The military spokesperson stated that the simultaneous strikes resulted in the deaths of 382 Houthi fighters and commanders, while 140 military vehicles and heavy weapons systems were destroyed or damaged.
The statement further emphasized that government forces had conducted the operations in accordance with international standards designed to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.
