The Seattle Seahawks will host the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football in Week 8, with FanDuel Sportsbook opening Seattle as a 3-point favorite. The Seahawks are priced at -172 on the moneyline, while Chicago sits at +144. The over/under is set at 46.5 points.
Chicago enters the matchup with a 5-2 record after defeating the New England Patriots 30-24 on Thursday night, getting a mini-bye before the matchup against the Seahawks. Seattle, meanwhile, improved to 4-3 with a convincing 20-3 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. The Seahawks’ defense dominated Patrick Mahomes and company, while the offense leaned on its running game and another outstanding performance from Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Despite Chicago’s better record, oddsmakers are giving Seattle the edge at Lumen Field. For comparison, Kansas City opened as a three-point underdog at Seattle in Week 7 despite entering that game undefeated, and Seattle won comfortably.
The total of 46.5 points suggests expectations of a more competitive scoring affair than Sunday’s defensive battle against Kansas City. Chicago scored 30 points against New England, while Seattle held the Chiefs to just a field goal, making this a compelling matchup between a productive Bears offense led by Ben Johnson, and a Seahawks defense coming off one of its strongest performances of the season.
Seattle will look to carry that momentum into another prime-time game, but Chicago presents a different challenge. The Bears will arrive in Seattle looking to prove they belong among the NFC’s contenders.
