HARTFORD - Braylon Mullins is set to make his preseason debut when the UConn men's basketball team hosts Purdue Tuesday night at PeoplesBank Arena.
It will be the sophomore guard's first action since the Huskies' NCAA championship game loss to Michigan, so he'll be on a minutes restriction. Mullins missed UConn's exhibition games against Syracuse and Michigan because of an undisclosed injury.
Tuesday is UConn's final preseason game before the regular season opener next Monday against Gardner-Webb.
"A program like Purdue, it's a tough first game to come back for," Dan Hurley said Monday. "But it'll be good in terms of getting one under his belt before the real ones start."

Mullins returned to practices prior to UConn's exhibition win over Michigan State last week and has looked "really sharp," according to Hurley.
Hurley told CT Insider last week that he considered using him in the game at Michigan State after he practiced for three consecutive days and participated in warm-ups. Hurley ultimately decided to hold Mullins out.
"We shut him down," Hurley said of Mullins. "We should have him ready for Purdue, as long as there's no setbacks."
Mullins was named to the Big East All-Freshman team last season after averaging 11.8 points in 31 games.
