What we know about Komanche's death
Neighbours reportedly noticed the property's front door had been left open since the previous day and alerted the owners, who discovered Gómez and called the police.
Local authorities found no obvious signs of violence at the scene, and an official cause of death has not been publicly confirmed.
His manager, Byron Reyes, broke the news on October 26 after speaking with the family, also taking the opportunity to condemn the online harassment Gómez had reportedly experienced before his death.
"From the bottom of my heart, I tell you that you will leave a huge void in everyone... We'll miss you buddy!" Reyes wrote in an emotional tribute shared on Instagram. His remarks sparked a wider conversation about cyberbullying and the toll it takes on public figures who live their lives online.
What was Komanche's final message?
In the days leading up to his death, Gómez posted a sobering message on X, formerly Twitter, writing: "Los días simplemente no mejoran," which translates to "The days simply don't get better."
The post has since drawn renewed attention as fans and fellow creators reflect on what it may have signalled.
Gómez had previously spoken openly about his mental health, having received diagnoses of bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety.
His death has prompted fresh discussion about the pressures facing content creators, particularly the relentless scrutiny and harassment that can accompany large online followings.
What made Komanche famous?
At the time of his death, Gómez had amassed nearly 1.7 million followers on Twitch and close to one million on Instagram, making him a prominent voice in the Spanish-speaking gaming community.
He is perhaps best remembered for co-organising the Squid Craft Games, a hugely popular Minecraft tournament that drew in top-tier creators and attracted a massive audience online.
His collaboration with well-known content creators AuronPlay and El Rubius helped cement his standing in the gaming world and introduced his work to an even broader audience.
His passing has left a visible gap in the community he helped build, with fans and fellow streamers mourning the loss of a creator who was, by many accounts, still at the height of his influence.
