MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. Qatar takes pride in the scale of its investments in Russian companies and plans to expand economic cooperation with Russia, Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"Relations between the Russian Federation and Qatar are strong, solid, and historic. <...> We take pride in the volume of Qatari investment in Russian companies," he said.
Bilateral relations have developed actively in the economic and investment fields over the past ten years, he noted, adding that the parties are closely monitoring the implementation of joint projects through the intergovernmental commission.
