Dhaka Division moved closer to their first victory in the National Cricket League (NCL) 2026-27 after reducing Rajshahi Division to 215 for five in their second innings, following on, on the third day of the fourth round in Rajshahi on Monday.
Resuming their first innings at 103 for six, Rajshahi added 59 runs before being bowled out for 162. Dhaka, who had posted 521, enforced the follow-on, with pacer Sumon Khan claiming four wickets.
Rajshahi struggled again in their second innings, losing five wickets for 181 runs. Sabbir Hossan scored 52, while Sabbir Rahman remained unbeaten on 64 as Rajshahi ended the day 144 runs behind Dhaka's first-innings total.
In Cox's Bazar, Amite Hasan struck an unbeaten 171 off 296 balls for his 12th first-class century, while Ashraful Hasan Rihad made an unbeaten 101 off 200 balls, his second first-class hundred, as Sylhet Division piled up 575 for four in their first innings.
Resuming at 280 for two, Sylhet lost Zakir Hasan for 160 in the first over of the day. Amite and Rihad then shared an unbroken 222-run partnership for the fifth wicket to put Sylhet in a commanding position. With only one innings completed in the match so far, a draw appears the likeliest outcome.

Shahadat Hossain Dipu top-scored with 95 off 188 balls, while Tasamul Haque (63), Sabbir Hossain Shikder (54) and Irfan Shukkur (53) also struck half-centuries.
