If you thought quiet luxury had fell by the wayside, think again. Meghann Fahy is currently in the midst of promoting her new Peacock drama series, The Good Daughter (out November 12), and as she was seen out and about in New York City on Monday afternoon, the Emmy nominee made a case for luxe minimalism in an all-gray look from Almina Concept.
Sometimes, gray businesswear can come across a little too much like a dystopian uniform, or even worse, Dr. Evil cosplay, but here, Fahy offered up an unbuttoned approach that was effortlessly posh.

For a complete co-ord, Fahy paired a charcoal-hued wool shirt from Almina Concept with the brand’s matching wide-leg pants. To make her top seem more casual, she left the first few buttons undone, creating a plunging effect, while pushing up the sleeves to suit the warmer, early-fall weather.
Upon closer look, you can see that the button-up features a seam running across the middle, which helped to break up the uniformity of the silhouette. And Fahy added a subtle bit of contrast with a pair of black patent-leather ballet flats that appeared to be from Reformation.

The Good Daughter press tour is now well underway, and this was only one of three looks that Fahy pulled out yesterday afternoon.
Earlier in the day, the Sirens star was spotted in a brick-red jersey minidress layered underneath a cropped leather bomber and accessorized with Jimmy Fairly sunglasses and snakeskin pumps. Later, she wore that same leather bomber layered over a sheer black top with a matching bra underneath, and she completed the monochromatic fit with a pair of cigarette pants and inky patent-leather sandals.
Just as maximalism takes center stage, Fahy puts quiet luxury right back into the conversation.
