The Indianapolis Colts’ slide continues, as they became the latest victims of the Minnesota Vikings. Indianapolis picked up its third loss in a row (and fifth overall in 2026) on Sunday, falling prey to the Vikings via a 16-10 score on the road. With the losses piling up for the team, Indianapolis defensive tackle DeForest Buckner aired out his frustration once again.
After saying that he was “sick and tired of the same song and dance every year” following a Week 6 loss to the Tennessee Titans, Buckner doubled down on his disappointment with how things are going for the AFC South franchise.
“I don’t know. How about you guess. Yeah, I’m frustrated. Same thing, we lost,” the veteran defensive tackle said when asked about his level of frustration following the loss to the Vikings, via James Boyd of The Athletic.
The Colts Still Have Chances to Get Back on Track And Make Noise in AFC South
There are rumors going around about Indianapolis going on a fire sale ahead of the trade deadline, and the Colts’ struggles this season only amplify such buzz. But that is out of Buckner’s control.
It is still not too late for Buckner and the Colts to turn things around. Despite being 2-5 through seven games, they are second in the AFC South Division standings. They can gain ground in Week 6, when they face division leaders Jacksonville Jaguars on the road.
Against the Vikings, Indianapolis came up with just 218 total yards and found the end zone just once despite being 8/15 on third downs.
