The Kenya National Exam Council (KNEC) has released the July 2026 Business and Technical examinations results.
In a notice issued on Monday, October 26, 2026, KNEC said that the results are ready for collection by the heads of institutions at New Mithani House in South C in Nairobi.
December 7, 2026 was the deadline set for submitting queries relating to the examination results, and the institution warned that institutions that submit queries after the deadline will be charged Ksh5,000 for each query.
“Queries must be submitted through the council’s online portal at qmis.knec.ac.ke/externallogin and should reach KNEC within 30 days of the results being released,” the notice read.

KNEC also directed candidates seeking clarification or wishing to raise concerns about their results to channel their inquiries through the heads of their respective institutions.
According to the council, institutions with unpaid examination fees may need to settle their outstanding balances before accessing the released results.
Further ahead, institutions will be tasked with collecting the results and facilitating the submission of any queries from candidates through the prescribed channels.
Also, candidates are advised to contact their respective institutions for information on collecting their results and to raise any concerns about their performance within the stipulated time.
Now, candidates who sat the July 2026 Business and Technical examinations can establish their performance, while institutions are urged to follow KNEC's procedures for collecting the results and submitting queries.
“ Institutions need to comply with the collection requirements and submit their queries before the December 7 deadline to avoid paying a Ksh5,000 charge for late submission,” KNEC emphasised.
The latest guidelines come a week after KNEC recently announced rules that candidates sitting for the KCSE must follow, with the council reiterating the importance of punctuality and compliance with examination procedures.
Candidates were advised to present themselves for security searches outside examination rooms and be seated at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of each paper, with the morning exams beginning at 8 am and afternoon papers beginning at 2 pm.
