The Motor Vehicles department (MVD) imposed fines totalling ₹57,250 on 34 school buses for various safety violations. The inspections were conducted at Kakkanad, Kalamassery, and Edappally. The violations included driving without a licence, non-payment of road tax, failure to wear uniforms and seat belts, absence of an attendant, and lack of first-aid boxes and fire extinguishers.
