KUALA LUMPUR: ACE Market-listed integrated mechanical and electrical (M&E) engineering services provider West River Bhd has secured two residential engineering subcontracts with a combined value of RM17.85 million.
The contracts comprise an RM11.0 million electrical works subcontract for a residential project in Puchong, Selangor, and an RM6.85 million air conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV) nominated subcontract for Park Green at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
Both contracts were secured via its wholly-owned subsidiary, West River Engineering Sdn Bhd (WRE).
The RM11.0 million fixed-price subcontract was awarded by China Construction Development (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for a project along Persiaran Bandar Metro Puchong, Taman Mutiara Puchong.
Undertaken for Interpile (M) Sdn Bhd, the development features a 34-storey apartment block housing 526 units, along with a seven-storey podium containing parking facilities and a recreational floor.
WRE's scope encompasses electrical systems, associated infrastructure, testing and commissioning, technical coordination, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. The works will follow the main contractor's construction schedule, with completion slated for Nov 17, 2028.
Separately, BUCG (M) Sdn Bhd issued WRE a letter of award for the RM6.85 million nominated subcontract at Park Green, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, undertaken for Regal Path Sdn Bhd.
The project comprises two serviced-apartment blocks totalling 453 units, basement levels, a 10-storey podium, and resident facilities.
WRE will oversee the supply, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of ACMV services and ancillary components under BUCG's master work programme.
West River managing director Lim Yong Lai said the two awards bolster the group's order book across two core disciplines.
"The Puchong project covers electrical works, while Park Green adds an ACMV package, demonstrating the breadth of our capabilities in supporting sizable residential developments," Lim said.
He added that the group remains focused on disciplined execution, quality, safety, and cost management, while continuing to pursue projects that align with its technical capabilities to drive sustainable long-term growth.
These latest wins follow West River's announcement on Oct 5, of a RM17.5 million subcontract for electrical, extra-low-voltage, security, and solar panel systems at E-Metro Logistic Park in Bandar Bukit Raja 2, Selangor.
