Emanuele Lulli’s new contract with Roma has been finalised, with the 19-year-old now tied to the club until June 2031.
According to Calciomercato.com, the full-back will earn €500,000 net per season, plus bonuses linked to his performances and team targets that could take his salary to around €1m.
Agreement on the five-year deal was reached last week. It rewards a remarkable rise for a player who is in his first season as a professional.
Lulli’s rise under Gasperini
Lulli was close to leaving on loan for Avellino in the summer, but Gian Piero Gasperini saw enough during pre-season training to keep him with the first team.
He has since established himself in the rotation and scored his first Serie A goal in the 2-0 win over Genoa this month. Gasperini has described him as “a force of nature”, saying he is superior to everyone in the squad, including Wesley, for athleticism, speed and endurance.
Lulli has also been called up to the Italy Under-21 squad and has caught the eye of senior national team coach Roberto Mancini.
A lifelong Roma fan from Palestrina, he is the latest academy product to commit his future to the club after Niccolò Pisilli.
