FIFA President Gianni Infantino has met with Sierra Leone’s under-15 national team in Baku, Azerbaijan, offering encouragement to the young players participating in the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival.
Infantino visited the team at Pitch 9B, where the tournament and festival activities are taking place. He urged the players to continue their efforts and wished them success in their future football careers.
“Enjoy your festival, guys,” he told the players.
Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) First Vice President Alie Badara Tarawally also joined the team during the visit, sharing a moment with Infantino and the young Leone Stars.
Welcoming Tarawally, the FIFA president said, “Welcome, Mr. Vice President, and have an enjoyable stay. Extend my profound greetings to your President, Babadi.”
The visit provided an opportunity for Sierra Leone’s young footballers to meet the head of world football’s governing body as they participate in the international youth football event in Azerbaijan.
