The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 3 by a final score of 10-1. Milwaukee now holds a 3-0 World Series lead. Although it sounds like an extremely lopsided affair, the game was competitive up until the 5th inning, as Freddy Peralta and Robert Gasser were locked in a pitcher’s duel in a 2-0 game. The Brewers broke through in the 5th with an eight-run inning — with each run coming while there were two outs. Christian Yelich — who went 2-3 with an RBI in the game and played a role in the massive inning — discussed how Milwaukee found its rhythm in the 5th, via MLB Network.

“It was just good at-bat after good at-bat. Guys staying within themselves,” Yelich said. “Having an AB, competing up there, doing what we’ve done all year.”

With the score still 2-0, Brice Turang came to the plate with the bases loaded and hit a hard line drive up the middle. The ball took a tough hop to the left of Rays shortstop Taylor Walls. Walls got a glove on it, but the ball got past the shortstop and Milwaukee scored two runs on the play.
